PinkPanthress My favorite artist at the moment. While she does a variety of genres, the root of her music is drum and bass. Her new album, "Fancy that", feels straight out of Bratz Rock Angelz. She has a distinct 2000s aesthetic that feels authentic, since she adds a lot of the charm about it that may be considered weird. I started listening to her around July 2025 and safe to say, I have not stopped since. I have recently listened to her other albums: "To hell with it" and "Heaven knows." "To hell with it" feels like the personal journal of a young adult, but it is my least favorite as the songs just don't hit as hard. She had not really found her sound and was experimenting a lot. With that said, my favorite song is "I must apologize." On Heaven knows, it is probably a mix of "Ophelia," and "Nice to meet you." On "Fancy that," it is probably a little bit of everything. heart gif
Beabadoobee This girl has a very distinct alternative-pop sound. Her earlier works such as "Care" and "Worth it" feel reminiscent of Alanis Morisette back in the 90s. So much so, I read a comment that someone's dad thought it was a song they had heard back in the 90s. She then released "Our extended play," which really leaned into the 2000s aesthetic everybody raves about now. She was using a lot more of Indie pop and alternative. This is my personal favorite work of hers, with my favorite song being "He gets me so high." I love the back and forth between her and the male singer. She then moved on to Beatopia, which I would say is like the last EP but a lot more Indie Pop with a heavier emphasis on acoustics. "Talk" is the song that introduced me to her, and I am so glad. The music video with the fisheye lenses in really iconic. This leads us to her most recent release, "How tomorrow moves." This album is extremely pop-rock and a huge difference from her original 2019 works. That's not to say that it is bad, I still think "Beaches" is the most teen pop-rock 2000s sound ever that no one has been able to replicate. The "Take a bite" sample is chef's kiss. Overall, she is extremely solid and has not made a singular bad album or work in my opinion. As a side note, I also think "A night to remember" with Laufey is peak. music
Addison Rae If you told me back in 2020 that I would be obsessed with Addison Rae's album, I would have probably laughed in your face and cried of the amount of cackling. I was aware of her music career, but it wasn't until Pinterest forced fed me her content so much that I basically gave it a shot... So this is basically peak pop that we have not achieved since the early 2010's. This album is so experimental, it sounds like it came straight from her laptop to her MySpace website. "Fame is a gun" is such an iconic song, the confidence is so high I just love how secure she is in herself. "Diet Pepsi" took me awhile, but now I can't stop listening to it. Her breathy voice is amazing for songs like this. "High Fashion" uses such a cool instrumental and her vocals towards the end, after the bridge, make me ascend every. single. time. But my absolute favorite gotta be "new York." I remember I hated the intro but now I adore it. I love her little "Na na na" at the end, it feels so free and fun. Watch, she will be going places. aquarium frutiger aero gif
